"Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same."
I feel like people blame other things or people or come up with excuses regarding their problems and unhappiness. Yeah there are those bad days where we have to just let it all out and vent but I'm talking about those people we know that are just so negative and pessimistic ALL the time and I have to just wonder if they have ever just relaxed and realized the good things they have in their lives? It's like they want to be miserable all the time and they make sure they don't realize any of the good in their lives. To me that seems to be a HUGE waste of time to push aside all of the awesomeness of life and putting in the work of ignoring all that goodness and happiness that is everywhere. The truth is, misery enjoys company and spreading misery isn't going to make anything different or better. So lets choose to put in our hard work, time, and effort into being better and as happy as we can be. I feel like, for me at least, this is a goal that will always be in progress for a whole lifetime.
